When I was offered a coach last year, I wasn’t sure what I would get out of it... having worked in different organizations and leadership roles for 25 years, I thought I had a pretty good understanding of myself and how I can be a more effective leader... I thought I just needed more time. Also having mentored others, I knew it required me to put effort and time to prepare, and I wasn’t sure I wanted to do it. Well that completely changed when I met Claire. Starting with the goal setting, her approach was very reassuring for me to dedicate myself to the objectives we agreed together. Then the digging started... she always had the right questions to get me thinking and she helped me see myself in the mirror and get to the bottom of things, discover the root causes. I never thought I could learn so much after all these years. I wanted more and always looked forward to our sessions. After the discovery sessions, came the actions I needed to take.
